Water fights could be found throughout the town but 100 East was the most concentrated area for battles. On 1 Cedar Fort enjoys the Questar Barbeque on Wednesday ,k July 21 . The parade is part of the annual festivities at the town. Cool Crisp Salads 9' Cedar Fort enjoys Pioneer Day fun By Charlynn Anderson Cedar Fort residents and guests enjoyed a July 24th full of activifun ties and good old home-towfor their annual Pioneer Day celebration. Nearly everyone signed up to do something, so volunteers were plentiful. on July 23rd proved to be a wonderful respite from the sweltering heat. Many of the wettest battles took place on 100 E. where several groups tossed water balloons to defend themselves from hoses and Channel 13 News even covered the event (at least until the camera man had to take shelter in the 13 News van). The early morning breakfast on July 24th provided good food and a peaceful setting for long n Water-fightin- g super-soaker- s. time residents to share stories of Cedar Fort's past. A sparkling array of floats pulled by trucks and tractors, as well as decorated and costumed children, bikes, horses and riders entertained parade watchers. The Cedar Fort Volunteer Fire Department showed off their new structural fire truck with fire fighters' children in the back throwing candy. The brush truck and water tender also joined the parade. The Miller family drove their covered wagon pulled by huge draft horses in the Days of '47 Parade then rushed out to Cedar Fort for another parade. (The dalmatian rode up front in both parades.)
