Obituaries if. Iff. Nelson Turner ... mere 4 was nal companion Melba N Ackerman. They were married August 5, 1935. Their marriage was solemnized May 1937 in the Manti Temple. There were 10 children born to Nelson and Melba's union: Mildred, Velene, Myrna, Devern, Betty, Jeanette, Vonda, Peggy, Nila, and Heaven on Sunday, Aug. 2, 11998 when Ernest Nelson Turner of Pleasant Grove ' returned home. Nelson his began earthly stay , Aug. ,1915 17, in Teasdale, Utah, born the eldest son of David r f X Gordon. Nelson was an high priest in the Northfield Second Ward and a devoted worker in the LDS Church having held many Ernest and H u 1 d a positions during his life. He had the great pleasure of blessing and baptizing many of his grandchildren and great grandchildren and ordained several grandsons to different offices in the Priesthood. Nelson and Melba served a vArtimisha , I , r Allen Turner; four brothers: Alfonzo, Duane, Ward, and Guy; and one sister Leola soon followed. Nelson grew up in Lyman, Utah and there met his eter- - John B. jGeorge and I church including serving as Bishop for six years. Nelson will always be remembered as a hard working, kind, compassionate, and loving person. He was preceded in death by his parents, sister and three infant children: Mildred, Devern, and Jeanette. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, Aug. 5, 1998 at 11 a.m. in the Northfield Second Ward, 1541 N. 1300 West, Pleasant Grove.
