At five years of age they moved to Salt Lake City. When Damie was in the third grade her mother became ill an she helped care for her for nine years until her mother passed away. Damie developed a strong work ethic and a compassion for service to others during these years. She graduated from South High School in Salt Lake City. She married Wesley B. Carlson on June 25, 1937 and they began a long and happy life together. She was a wonderful and loving wife and they celebrated their 61st anniversary in June. Damie was the beloved mother of five children: Raymond, Lehi; Sherman (Irene), Yakima, Wash.; Steven (Mary), Lehi; half-brothe- Myron (LuAnn), American Fork; Rebecca (Cory), Sandy. She has 23 grandchildren; two 11 n; seven and one Damie and Wes have lived in Vl If and Logandale, and Nev. Yakima, Wash. She is survived by her husband, Wesley Carlson; and two sisters, Sally Scott, Reston, Va. and Johnanson, Dorothy Murray; and all of her children. There will be a viewing Wednesday, July 15, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Wing Mortuary, 118 E. Main, Lehi, and Thursday morning at 10 a.m. at the Cedar Hollow 4th Ward Chapel, 145 E. 1500 North. The funeral will be held in the Cedar Hollow 4th Ward Thursday, July 16, at 11 a.m. She will be interred at the Crescent City Cemetery in Crescent. He was a cattle rancher and rode as a line rider in West Canyon for the Cattlemen's Association for 65 years. He was an Elder in the LDS Church. Greg graduated from Hulcrest High School and Brigham Young University. He served an LDS mission in Brazil North, 1969-7He served in the Church in many callings including Ward organist, Primary teacher, in the Elders Quorum Presidency, Bishopric, and as Bishop of the Highland 1.
