I've three passions in my life: family, sports and the law. My early days were spent in Yakima, Washington, where I lived with my parents, Willie and Lois and my brother Mike. I graduated from West Valley High School in 1969. While I was in high school, I played basketball and softball and relished that. After a year at Pullman College, where I majored in Police Science (that will be hard for many folks to believe), I to Southern California where I met Andy (William L. Anderson) and we were married in 1976. Andy has loved me, supported me, been amazed at Vimu 1'vp (rrnwn. held mv hand, and sometimes, just held on. We have three wondertui, fun kids; Shani, Staci and Bradli. I want them to grow, have wonderful time together and think kind thoughts. I hate the thought of not being with them as . they mature and become adults and I regret that the most. We moved to Pleasant Grove and I worked as the Assistant Director, of the Pleasant Grove Recreation Center. We had won- moved Beverly softball and volleyball tournaments and I had a grand time working there. But, I had a dream, and that dream was to finish school and then obtain a law degree. So I did. I graduated from B.Y.U. in 1988 with a Bachelor's Degree and in August of that year I started law school and obtained my law degree from B.Y.U. in 1991. Law school was a mental challenge, but I relished it and made many friends and they have remained dear to me, especially Sandra, my first law partner: whenever I've needed held or consolation, she has been the one I would always count on, and especially now in the last fight. I discovered that my real passion was in criminal defense, and in the almost seven years since graduation I have defended hundreds of individuals brought to court on criminal charges. I have loved every minute spent practicing law and have had the opportunity to work with the best defense attorneys in the State of Utah. My thanks to Steve, Mike, Ron, Brad, and Earl for the support and opportunities. I think the two highlights in my career were being sworn in to practice before the United States Supreme Court and being asked to join YENGICH, RICH & XIAZ Law Firm. I wish we had had more time, but court has been adjourned. I hope it will be called to order again in the future. If you would like, please make donations to the J. Reuben Clark Law School Trial Advocacy Program. That program provides future attorneys with some hands-o- n experience. My funeral services were held Saturday, December 27, 1997 in the Pleasant Grove Grove Ward Chapel. Burial was in the Pleasant Grove City Cemetery. Penn, Sept 7, 1968 in Covington, Kentucky.
