Residents residing in the foothills, in the forest, or on range-lan- d need to be aware that wildfire is a naturally occurring event that can happen anytime and homes and landscaping in these areas need to be designed to withstand the attack of such a fire. The first defense is to create a fire safe landscape around the residence by removing flammable vegetation and replacing it with plants, spacing the plants around the yard, and clearing away dead leaves on your roof and dry brush around your home. If you are able to create a fire safe landscape for at least 30 feet around the house (and out to 100 feet or more in some areas), the chance of wildfire spreading onto your property and burning through to your home will be reduced. This, officials said, doesn't mean you have to live with a ring of bare dirt around the home. Division officials are asking all anglers to avoid spreading the incurable disease to other waters by cleaning all equipment of mud, including boats, trailers, boots, float tubes, and fins before leaving one fishery to another. Thoroughly drying equipment before reuse is also recommended. When traveling directly from one water to another, officials recommend washing equipment with a strong solution of chlorine bleach or use another set of equipment. Disposal offish heads, skeletons and entrails in bodies of water is strongly discouraged and the DWR recommends disposing parts in the garbage, deep burying, or complete burning. If anglers notice illegal stocking or whirling disease symptoms, including fish head deformities, twisted spines, a black tail, or fish swimming in circles, conservation officers ask you to call waters n Lehi Beaver Creek (Tributary to jCome to Salt Lake City and see the largest Minersville Reservoir) selection o? pickups, vans, sport utility vehicles Porcupine Reservoir Little Bear River and used cars in the intermountain west Over Hyrum Reservoir 500 to choose from.
