Kitchen will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary at an open house to be held Friday, Nov. 24. It will be held at the American Fork lst5th18th Ward, 381 S. 300 East, from 6 to 8 p.m. Melvin was born in Tridell, Utah in 1922. He graduated from Alterra High School in 1940, joining the Air Force in 1942. While on leave in 1945 he courted, fell in love and married Verda McKee, all within a short two-we- ilittil ISIPP9, i f f - 2 , : I & Nicole Chamberlain, Chris Tucker I k m H - ...1 - John Gordon, Heather Dubois Nicole Chamberlain to wed Heather Dubois to be wed Chris Tucker November 18 in Salt Lake Temple rites Nicole Chamberlain and Chris Tucker will be married in the Salt Lake LDS Temple on Saturday, Nov. 18. The bride-to-b- is the daughter e of Nile and Barbara Chamberlain of Lehi. The prospective groom is the son of Val and Elaine Tucker, also of Lehi. A reception will honor them that same evening from 6:30 to 8:30 at the Lehi 2nd Ward, 300 N. 500 East. All friends and relatives are cordially invited to attend. Attending the bride will be Season Chamberlain as maid of honor, with Julie Tucker, Jenn Tucker and Becca Tucker as bridesmaids. Best man duties will be performed by Bret Chamberlain. Nicole is a graduate of Lehi High School and LDS Seminary. She is a graduate of Stevens Henager College and is currently employed as an accountant at WICAT in Lindon. Chris is also a graduate of Lehi High School and LDS Seminary. He served in the Washington Seattle LDS Mission. He will be attending BYU, majoring in engineering. The couple will make their first home in Lehi. Doll presentation given at November Olympian Club The Olympian Club met at the home of Doris Gardner for their November 1995 meeting. President Eleise Smith conducted and discussed the upcoming compassionate service Christmas project, where menteefrs will help a family in need. Members will also exchange a Christmas gift 'for one another. The Club Collect was read by Roxie Russon, The legislative report was given by Doris Gardner, who had attended a very informative meeting where Laura Blanchard, director " I of the Children's Justice Center, was the speaker. The program for the evening was presented by guest Norma Webb Fugal, who displayed many of her dolls from around the world, including gift dolls and porcelain dolls. She said that "dolls are a symbol of love." on a Refreshments Thanksgiving theme were served to 18 members and two guests. She recently returned from an LDS mission in Sapporo, Japan. The prospective groom is a graduate of Mountain View High School and BYU. He served an LDS mission in Montreal, Canada. The couple will make their first home in North Orem. Courthouse, 51 S. University Ave., Vera B. Bullock to be feted at open house for 80th birthday Vera Brems Bullock will be honored on the occasion of her 80th birthday at an open house, which will be held Sunday, Nov. 19 from 2 to 6 p.m. at the Lehi Senior Citizens Center, 120 N. Center St. No gifts please. She was born Nov. 21, 1915 in Lehi to John and Margaret Wilcox Brems. She married Algene Bullock July 20, 1933; he passed away in 1974. She is the mother of four sons, Donald, Richard, LaGrand and Neldon; 18 grandchildren and 25 - - i if i . , i $ : " i Vera has been a lifetime active member of the Lehi LDS Third Ward. Her hobbies are quilting, oil painting, working in her flower Lake LDS Temple Nov. 14, 1945. Upon returning from the service, they moved to Logan where Melvin pursued his education, graduating in 1950. He worked as a county agricultural agent in Junction, Utah, and then at Geneva for 28 years. After his retirement he established his own environmental testing company, now known as Tetco. Verda was born in Tridell in 1925. She and her twin sister were the baby sisters in a family of five brothers. She graduated from Alterra High School in 1944. During the next year and a half she supported the war effort as a farmer. Her years were full raising 10 children and several Lamanite children. She enjoyed singing in the ward and stake choirs and as a singing mother. Melvin joined her in the ward choir. Good music, as well as genealogy, are Verda's special loves. Melvin and Verda have served two LDS missions to England in 1985 to Manchester and in 1991 to Bristol and Wales. The British people hold a special spot in their n. The Snow Springs Camp of the Daughters of the Utah Pioneers held their regular monthly meeting on Tuesday, Nov. 7 under the direction 1J 1 Provo. span. They had been acquaintances most of their lives, having grown up together in this small community. They were married in the Salt Vera Brems Bullock garden and doing volunteer work with the senior citizens for over 23 years. hearts. Church service has been a daily part of their lives and they have served wherever they were need- ed, from bishopric to Relief Society and scouts in whatever way that they could share the gospel and serve the Lord. Currently they are serving as the directors for the Stake Family History Center in the American Fork Stake. Their children are: Connie Goss, Littleton, Colo.; Larry Lucinda (deceased); Kemp, Panama, Central America; Vivian Harding, West Jordan; Paul and Stanley, American Fork; Boyd, Vernal; Newell, Columbia, Mo.; Lynn, Beaver; Kevin, Lehi. They have 47 grandchildren, with three more expected in the next few months, and four DUP awarded painting by local artist 4 I Terry and Sandy Dubois of Lehi are pleased to announce the forthcoming marriage of their daughter, Heather, to John Gordon, son of J.D. and Florence Gordon of Orem. The couple will exchange vows in the Salt Lake LDS Temple on Nov. 15. A reception will honor the newlyweds that same evening from 7 to 9 at the Old Historic of Captain Karola Callings. Shirley Shurtz, who had painted a beautiful 24x36 oil painting portraying several scenes of historical interest such as the Eagle Gate, Promontory Point, a covered wagon and a sego lily, presented the work to the camp in commemoration of the January centennial of the founding of the organization.
