Nelson James Victor Nelson, 91, Orem, died Oct. 13, 1995 at his home of a sudden illness. He was born Jan. 17, l 1 1904 a son of James Alexander and Susie Giles V flowers. He was very hard working and was a perfectionist. Survivors include his children: Ray W. (Kleah) Nelson, Orem; Max J. (Marilyn) Nelson, Pleasant Grove; Barbara (Boyd) Walker, Lindon; Ronald Kent (Ellen) Nelson, Poway, Calif.; LaMar Walton, Murray; Darwin (Roma) Walton, West Valley City; Vaughn (Mildred) Walton, Eugene, Ore.; Joyce step-childre- n: Ivalee Nelson Jensen, in Utah. He married Mary Venola Slaugh (Norman) Eastwood, numerous Aug. 17, 1931 in Craig, Colo. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. She died Sept. 8, 1952. He married Gwen Merrill Dec. 23, 1955. She died March 17, 1965. He married Edith Walton March 10, 1966. She died Feb. 10, 1914. ; James loved his family. He was a master gardener and raised beautiful fruits, vegetables and St. George; and grandchildren two sisters: Mamie Wellman, Riverton; Marell Oaks, Vernal. He was preceded in death by two sons, Lynn Noah and James Allen Nelson, and six brothn; ers and sisters. Funeral services were held Tuesday, Oct. 17, in the Sundberg-Olpi- n Mortuary. Burial was in the Maeser Fairview Cemetery in Vernal. Katie Christine Miller, daughter of Stephen arid Dawn Van Tassell Miller, died Monday at the Children's Hospital in! Washington, D.C. after an accident. In addition to her parents, survivors are grandparents: Dr. G. Lqtne and Chris Van Tassell, Statesboro, Georgia; John and Ann Miller of Orem; Glen and Erma Van Tassell, Neola; Selma Miller, American Fork; several aunts and uncles including Darin and Netra Van Tassell, Steven and Danielle Van Tassell Hoyle, David and Dana Van Tassell Cork, Dyana, David and Dalane, all of Statesboro; Dwight Van Tassell, Alpharetta, Stacey and Lisa Miller, both of Orem; Scott and Jenny Miller, Kansas City, Kansas; two cousins, Lindsay Cork, Statesboro; and Courtney Miller, Kansas City, Kansas. Memorial services will be held Thursday at 4 p.m. at the LDS Church with Elder Curtis Ricker officiating. Private family graveside services will be held following the memorial services. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made to the Katie Miller memorial fund at Sea Island Bank which will be used toward the purchase of children's books for the Statesboro Regional Library and playground equipment at the Fair Road Playground. Trisha Jean Price, 22, died Oct. 14, 1995 in American Fork. She was born June 28, 1973. She received her Certificate of Graduation in Special Education supportive husband, father and friend, Robert taught fifth grade in Idaho and Grovecrest Elementary in Pleasant Grove. His quiet dedication was apparent in his former students. A lover of nature, he always saw the small but beautiful things in life. He served his country honorably fin the Army and National Guard as a linguist. He is survived by his wife and ( Jacob children: Patricia, Amanda), Luke, Mark, Rebecca and Amanda. Also surviving are his .parents and brothers and sister: David Harmer, Jerry Harmer, David Felton, Linda Rosenburg. Funeral services will be Wednesday, Oct. 18, at 11 a.m. at the Manila Stake Center, 105 W. 1800 North, Pleasant Grove. Friends may call at the stake center from 9:30 to 10:45 a.m. Burial will be int he Pleasant Pleasant Grove. He was born July 29, 1944 in American Fork to Lewis J. and Lucille Wiscombe Harmer. He married April Lynn Hall June 23, 1967 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. He attended schools in Pleasant Grove. He was an active member of the LDS Church. He served a mission to Zurich, Switzerland. He returned home and attended BYU, graduating in 1972. He later earned a teaching certificate. She married Charles Stubbles Sept. 2, 1938 in San Francisco, Calif. He died Oct. 9, 1958. She married George Sykes on Oct. 22, 1967 in Price, he died Sept. 28, 1988. She was a graduate of San Francisco State College, a teacher in Special Education at the Utah State Development Center, and a member of the Presbyterian Church for almost 50 years. She is survived by one daughter LDS Seminary.
