Show Lehi City Power purchases emergency generator unit Lehi is assured reliable electric service with the joint purchase of a tractor-mounte- d diesel generator. The generator, which cost $500,000, belongs to eight mem- bers of the Utah Associated Powers Municipal Systems - Lehi, Heber City, St. Monroe, Ephraim, Enterprise, Mt. Pleasant and (UAMPS) George, Santa Clara. It is the first unit of an emergency response system UAMPS plans to develop. "Electricity is the lifeblood of our existence," said George Tripp, Lehi City power board members. During power outages, the mobile generator will allow us to maintain critical services until the problem is corrected." Scott is a National English and Science Merit Award Scholar, an Scholar, and is listed in Who's Who Among American High School StudenteH He maintains a 4.0 gpa while taking advanced placement classes in English, calculus, biology, and history. As a member of the American Fork 2nd Ward, Scott has served in all his priesthood quorum class presidencies and he has participated in the Young Men's service projects. He has also served on the Explorer Council and Stake Youth Scott Tucker Council. Currently, Scott serves as a member of the Lehi High Seminary council. Community activities for Scott include helping with Booster Club projects and serving as captain of basketball team that the went to the national competition held in Denver over Labor Day weekend. Scott has also received his Eagle Scout award. Scott's free time is filled with skiing, playing basketball and soccer, and working part time at Scott's Cars in American Fork. Future goals for Scott include obtaining a scholarship to attend college, serving a mission for the LDS church, and eventually marrying and raising a family. Jeremy Crowton selected for teaching fellowship at USU Jeremy K Crowton, son of Karl and Lee Anne Crowton of Lehi, is the recipient of an undergraduate teaching fellowship at Utah State The actual dance will be on Saturday , Oct. 14, and students will receive the usual discount with their student ID card.
