The Pleasant Grove company is new this year with "Alice" being the premiere show. "We opted for something popu- lar and familiar," says Judy Noziska, one of the founders. "We had seen how successful Spanish Fork has been with its children's theatre, and we wanted to offer something for youth in the north end of the county." Children and youth from Orem to Alpine are participating. Since September, when the organization was recognized by Pleasant Grove City, children who signed up for the youth group have been learning the fundamentals of drama and have had dance and vocal lessons. Other key personnel besides Noziska include Mary Ann Wiemer, Janet Ross, Jackie Huish n and director Terra Allen, a local storyteller. Also helping in "Alice" are Stacey Darals, music director: LeAnn Heder, choreographer; Melanie Harding, assistant director; and many, many volunteers. Noziska says their first production represents a great beginning, and she is pleased with the compawell-know- ny's progress. She took Sally Netzel's adaptation of Lewis Carroll's classic not only because she thought it was a quality script, but also because she was charmed by the music of Beatrice Wolf. The show features three young ladies playing the role of Alice: Elizabeth Allen, Kasey Noziska and Sabrina Hatch. Other major players include Jana Ross, Jill Johnson, Whitney Shore, Dylon Bean, Whitney Noziska, Heather Munson, Rogan Scott, Trevor Huish, Heather Strasburg, Kynsie Kiggins, Jocelyn Hatch and Cara Simister.
