The following students have been named to the Dean's List, which requires a minimum grade point average of 3.5 and at least 15 credit hours. From Lehi: Mystayn R. t, LaRayne Ruby Nielsen, Beckie J. Wendee Jensen, honorable Elk Two students at Sego Lily Elementary have shown their compassion and their willingness to serve others by organizing a special project to raise money for the Red Cross relief effort in the recent California earthquake. Sharon Holbrook and Jeanna Cunningham, sixth grade students in Mrs. Dubois' accelerated learning lab, felt a need to share in the rebuilding efforts. "We wanted to help after seeing what happened," said Sharon, whose relatives had missed the damage. Jeanna said some of her relatives were involved in the di- saster. Lehi Elem. names Reflections winners The PTA at Lehi Elementary has announced the winners of the recent Reflections Contest, which was title "If I Could Give the World a Gift." r mm i La r-- i Date: Sat., March 5 Time: 6:30 p.m. Place: Provo Elks Lodge Ticket Information: The girls created donation jars for each of the classrooms, as well as a larger jar for Hart's in Lehi. In the first three days of the fundraiser, they had already collected nearly $170; donations topped $435 by the time the project was completed. An official from the Provo chapter of the American Red Cross presented Shane Boren (Big 0 Tires) 756-600- 0 the girls with a certificate at the school. "I'm very proud of them," said Dr. Linda Perkins, principal of Sego Lily. "They came up with the idea on their own." Mrs. Bigler's afternoon kindergarten class and Mrs. Dubois' accelerated learning lab class raised the most money and were treated to an ice cream party courtesy of Dr. Perkins. Students at the school are known for their previous humanitarian efforts, including the Phillip Hobbs heart transplant activities, and last year's Hurricane Andrew project to assist schools in rebuilding their facilities. Lima, son of Wilson and Eileen Lima of Lehi, has successfully completed all ground school and flying requirements and has been certified a private pilot. Kirk is enrolled in the Aviation Science program at Utah Valley State College in Or em. He received much of his training through Greg Kelley, his instructor, and Alpine Air located at the Provo Municipal Airport.
