Show Free Press - Wednesday, May Page 8 19, 1993 Erik Tadje: Dedicated student , By BRENDA T. PETERSON Erik Tadje is this week's Pioneer Profile. He is the son of Dave and Diane Tadje of Alpine. Erik is a fun and dedicated member of the Lehi High School studentbody. This past year, Erik has been involved in the school's new Peer Leadership Program, a member of the varsity basketball team, and chairman of Handicap Awareness Week. He has also been a member of the Spanish and Humanities Clubs and the track team. He has maintained a 3.5 grade point average and has taken advanced placement classes in English, history and calculus. Erik is an active member of the Alpine 8th Ward, where he has served in his priesthood quorum presidencies. He has been a member of the Youth Conference Committee for the Alpine Stake, and he is currently working on his Eagle Scout award. Families are encouraged to at- tend and participate in the fundraising event, with proceeds going to augment uniforms for the track team. Participants will compete in the following seven age groups: 8 and 1, junior high school, high under, and 50 and school, 9-- 30-4- 9 over. Running events include the 100 meter, 200 meter, 400 meter, 800 meter, 1600 meter, 4 x 100 meter relay, 2000 meter and a walk race. The shot put, high jump and long jump will be the field events.
