He is survived by his wife, Leslie, Lehi; daughters: Mrs. G. Lee (Sherry Lynn) Pepper, Mesa, Ariz.; Mrs. Brian C. (Cinda Sue) Rollins, Lehi; six grandchildren: Edwin Todd Pepper, Tara Leigan Pepper and Tawny Lynn Pepper; Joshua Brian Rollins, Justin Whiting Rollins and Leslie Jilaine Rollins; brothers and sister: Bryant Eager Whiting, Ariz.; Lorin and Fernard Whiting, both of St. Johns, Ariz.; Mrs. Lu Hancock, Auhwatuke, Ariz.; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Friday, May 14, 1993 at 1 p.m. in the Lehi North Stake Center, 851 N. 1200 East, where friends may call that day from 11 a.m. until time of services. Interment will be in the East Lawn Cemetery, Provo, with military honors performed by the Veterans of Foreign Wars. Funeral Directors, Wing Mortuary, Lehi. Edwin Derby Whiting, 78, died May 10, 1993 at the Utah Valley Regional Medical Center in Provo after a long illness. He was born April 11, 19 15 in St. Johns, Ariz., a son of Charles ( Whiting, Jr., and Caddy Jane Johnson. He married Leslie Mildred Penrod Nov. 30, 1933 in Vernon, Ariz. The marriage was later solemnized in the Mesa, Arizona LDS Temple. He was a carpenter and contractor. He served in the Navy in World War II. He had lived in St. Johns, Vernon and Scottsdale, Ariz, and Albuquerque, N.M. before moving to Lehi. He served in the LDS Church three times as Sunday School Superintendent, twice as Elders Quorum President, as Young Men's President, High Priest Group Grant P. Myrtle ters: Myrten F. Grant and Mrs. Myrtle Powell Grant, age 90, of Lehi, died May 9, 1993 at her home, of causes incident to age. She was born February 15, 1903 in Lehi, t Gay Ion (Pauline) Pugh, both of Lehi; Stanley P. Grant, American Fork; Robert L. Grant, California; Mrs. Lou (Judy) Bigler, Park City, Utah; 14 grandchildren; 18 Utah to James Augustus and Prudence Dean Powell. She married Francis Bromley Grant January 21, 1924 in Salt Lake City. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple, She was a homemaker and an active member of the LDS Church. She is survived by her husband of Lehi; three sons and two daugh- - one Utah. She was born October 3, 1898 in Fayette, Utah, to Olaf and Charlotte Elizabeth Roper Nielson.
