Show Free Press Wednesday Don Hansen honored on 95th birthday May 12 Page 4 Don K Hansen of Lehi will mark his 95th birthday on May 15. An open house has been planned for Don on Sunday, May 16, from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m. at his daughter's home, 369 S. 200 West, Lehi. Friends are cordially invited to come by and extend birthday wishes. Don was born in Pinetop. Ariz, in 1898. He was the sixth child of a family of 10 children and is one of three children still living. The family moved to different locations during his early childhood, settling in Lakeside in the same year as the San Francisco earthquake of 1906. He remembers feeling the ground shake and seeing some deep cracks in the earth. In 1922, Don went to California with a friend where they worked in the oil fields, but later received a call to work in a lumber mill in Susan ville. n He met and married Lucile and they resided in Susan-vill- e Don K. Hansen pursuinghis hobbies, Don has been very active in the LDS Church. He has served in every auxiliary organization, as a counselor or presi- Jel-liso- with Don working for the Lasen Lumber and Box Company. Later they moved to Anderson, then dent, has taught classes and served as a Branch President when the Susanville Branch was still part of the Reno, Nev. District. Temple Milo and Claudia Smart are pleased to announce the forthcom-ingmarriag- e of their daughter, Jessica Anne, to Miles A. Newby, son of Mrs. Faye Newby of Lehi and the late Burns R. Newby. Jessica and Miles will marry on Saturday, May 15. Areception honoring the newlyweds will be held that evening from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at the Lehi Senior Citizens Center, 120 N. Center St., Lehi. The couple will be married on Saturday, May 15 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. Areception will honor the couple that evening from 6:30 to 9 p.m. at the Lehi North Stake Center, 851 N. 1200 East, Lehi. A certified MA, Jessica is now working for a physician in Orem. The prospective groom is a graduate of Lehi High School and is presently employed for a firm in American Fork. The couple will make their first home in Lehi. Senior news and menus Lehi Senior Center will hold a special Medicaid presentation on Friday, May 21 at 11:30 a.m. The Office of Family Support will explain who qualifies for the program, asset and income limits and the Spousal Impoverishment Act. All seniors, as well as children of L 6 seniors who may be eligible, are invited to attend the presentation. He will speak in a sacrament service Sunday, May 16, at 2:30 p.m. in the Highland 7th Ward Chapel, 5335 W. 11200 North. He will greet friends and neighbors at his home, 5124 W. They have six Lehi in 1959. Don has always been interested in woodwork and besides building different pieces of furniture, he has been very helpful in restoring and rebuilding useful items.
