Kay and Elsie Thompson - - - SfcMBiwaiminwair"- - iirnt StrasburgS to be honored on Golden Wedding Day Caulene Kay Earl becomes bride of Winston Ray Palmer in Mesa Caulene Kay Earl and Winston Ray Palmer were married on Dec. 26, 1992 in Mesa, Ariz. Parents of the bride are Alvin and Beryl Tibbetts of Lehi. Parents of the groom are Grant and Kathleen Palmer of Mesa, Ariz. A reception was held in Mesa to honor the couple. Best man was Cary Palmer, a brother of the groom. The bride's daughter, Angela, was maid of honor, and another daughter, Chelsey, was flower girl. Family members attending were Alvin, Beryl and Daran Tibbetts of Lehi, Zetella Lind, Roger and Hazel Price, all of Lehi. Others attending were Fawna Tibbetts, now living in the Phoenix area, and Eric and Leona Tibbetts The family of Glen and Dorothy Strasburg will honor their parents at an open house on the occasion of their 50th wedding anniversary. The couple was married on Jan. 22, 1943. The marriage was solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple Caulene is formerly of Lehi. She graduated from Lehi High School and Utah State University. She is employed by American Express as a senior programmer analyst. The groom graduated from Mesa High School and has a master's degree in counseling from Arizona State, he works for Valle Del Sol Counseling Agency as school counselor for the Murphy Elementary School District in Phoenix. He served a mission for the LDS Church to the North Argentina Mission. He is active in the ward in Dec. 2, 1949. Hosting the open house will be their five living children: Janet (Mrs. Robert) Day, Chicago, 111.; Ellen (Mrs. Robert) Martin, Fresno, Calif.; Douglas K. Strasburg, San Bruno, Calif.; Glen D. Strasburg, Highland; and Max V. Strasburg, Boise, Idaho. A son, Jay Evar, died in 1945. A daughter, Susan, died in 1959. They have 15 living grandchildren and one deceased grand- Mesa. Winston has three children, Marilyn, Janell and Michael. Caulene and Winston, and her three children, Angela, Cameron and Chelsey, are living at their home in Scottsdale. of Tucson. daughter. Glen and Dorothy will greet guests on Saturday, Jan. 23, from 4 Baby daughter for Reed family Art and Debbie Reed of Lehi were delighted with the arrival of a darling little baby daughter born Dec. 31 in the Orem Community Hospital. The dimpled little miss tipped the scales at eight pounds one ounce and measured 20 inches tall. She has lots of soft, brown hair. LHS Activities Boys Basketball: The Pioneeers will host Emery tonight, with varsity action beginning at 7:30 p.m. Sophomores play at 3:30 and jayvee at 5:30 p.m. Lehi High Activities Wrestling: ThePioneergrapplers will travel to Carbon for a meet tonight. Lehi Free Press Basketball: Girls Great American Train Show The Great American Train Show will be at the Utah State Fairpark today and tomorrow, open from noon to 5 p.m. both days. This national show will feature over 10,000 model trains on display and for sale. Admission is $5 for adults, kids under 12 admitted free with an adult. The Fairpark is at 155 N. 1000 West in Salt Lake City. 2 LHS Activities Girls Basketball: The Lady Pioneers will travel to Union today for a 7 p.m. varsity contest.
