Edith Whie Monson, age 82; Ms. Minnie Dawson, age 97: and Mr. Richard Fntitz A1W age 63. Ms. Monson, who hails from Lehi, had two sons and three daughters. After her husband Elmer's death, Ms. Monson became a foster grandparent at the American Fork Train-, ing School, a service she continued for seventeen years. Ms. Monson serves as Resident Council Chairman at the Center. Her duties involve greeting new residents, visiting residents confined to their rooms, greeting facility entertainment, and chairing council meetings. Poetry has been a highlight of her life, and she shares this love with the Center. Minnie Dawson was born and raised in Payson, Utah. She went on to become a licensed practical nurse, and spent much of her career assisting in the delivery of babies born at home. Sometimes the doctor would not make it there on time, and then it was up to Minnie. Ms. Dawson and her husband Harry had three sons. Ms. Dawson enjoys reading, writing and especially poetry. In fact, one of her poems won a silver plaque. In February of this year she was honored e Retired Seniors Volunteer Council as one of the oldest volunteers in Utah County. Mr. Allen, who also serves on the Center's Resident Council; is a senior who loves to help. He provides assistance in the transport of wheelchair-boun- d residents and in settingup the Bingo games, as well as keeping score on occasion. He also helps with Sacrament Meeting at the AF Training School on Sundays. Mr. Allen enjoys creating personalized needlework. Utah Health Care Association, a service organization for long term health care throughout the state, serving facility staff as well as the consumer public, is proud to honor these fine seniors as members of the 1991 "Who's Who In Utah Nursing Homes."
