Show i Free Press Wednesday, April 3, 1991 - Page 5 Lehi Elementary students earn BYU honors " By RUSS DALY Seven students at Lehi Elementary captured honors at the recent regional History Fair at BYU. 200 students Approximately participated in the fair at the school, with the top three winners in each category going on to the regional Reid Swenson on national academic team all-Americ- an 1 competition. In the historical paper category, Matt Sunderland was awarded First Place for his research paper on Hitler, complete with bibliography. Jason Smith, Andy Anderson and ond annual National Junior lege Athletic Association Fall demic team. ColAcatttc .... Reid, along with Lawrence Shaw Seth Sunderland were awarded Second Place for their project on the Bear River Massacre. The three travelled to Idaho to complete primary field research, and to take photographs for their entry. Third Place in the project division was given to Ryan Thayn and Noah Wilson. Their entry focused on freedom of speech as part of the Bill of Rights. Natalie Holbrook earned Third Place in the media category for a detailed look at women's rights, including the accomplishments of women throughout American his-- . tory up to current times.
