Whether a spectator watching the action, or a participant in rodeo events, the activity was deemed a w horseback relay, water relav. and wheel chair animal and cracker relay; an animal parade (featuring Llamas); wheel chair rodeo events (goat roping and cow chip toss); and a rodeo queen contest Lunch was served at noon, with hotdogs, drinks and snowcones on sale and popsicles and watermelon free. Opening ceremonies were held at 1 p.m. to open the afternoon events. Following the presentation of the American and flags, rodeo ww success. Sponsored by the training school program, events began in the morning and continued through to 4 p.m. at the rodeo grounds on the North campus of the school. Popular with all were entertainment, pony rides, hay rides, free watermelon and popsicles, clowns and a craft display. Rodeo activities included an egg relay, newspaper relay, tandem 4--H 4-- H One of the most popular activities was the "assisted barrel racing" events with an individual with handicaps riding a horse and an assistant leading participants through the correct maneuvers. ' Other events included an independent barrel race, pole bending, goat tieing, and calf roping. Spectator events in the afternoon include hayrides, goat milking team), cow chip throwing, an egg toss and a hay bale roll. Phil Black announced the events.
