A 0 home victory over Carbon last Wednesday and a 0 shellacking of Union in Roosevelt Monday give the Pioneers a league mark going into the final week of competition at home next Wednesday May 2 and at Carbon May 3. A trip to Bingham Friday April 27 will wrap up Lehfs practice schedule. The only league loss is to undefeated Uintah in Vernal, and the LHS seven have a chance to avenge that next week when they host the Utes in their final home contest at 1:30 p.m. The Pioneers other two losses are to 2A powerhouse Grantsville, which is on the year, and to 4A American Fork in their first outing of the season. Against the Dinos last week, Lehi gave up three sets but won all five matches with a somewhat shuffled lineup. 3-- 5-- 5-- 3-- 1 9-- Ryan Peterson, playing singles for the first time this season, had to go three sets to down Darren Heiner, 6-2-(7-3- ) 6 at first singles. David Wilson, normally Peterson's doubles partner had an easier time playing at second singles by down3, 7-- ing Brad Heiner, Marc Wilson stopped Ken Goodrich 1 at third singles. Lehi's Bill Evans featured at N.M. concert The Cultural Affairs Division of the City of Albuquerque and the KiMo Theatre presented the Bill Evans Dance Company in "Mixed Bill," a celebratory performance in honor of Mr. Evans' 50th birthday. "Mixed Bill" was choreographed by Bill Evans with the lighting design by Ken Seward. The performance was held at KiMo Theatre in Albuquerque on April 11 and 12. Bill's mother, Lila, and his brother Michael and family traveled to New Mexico for the event. The Bill Evans Dance Company was founded in Salt Lake City in 1975 and moved to Seattle in 1976 where it remained based at Dance Theatre Seattle. From 1984 through 1987 the Company each summer to conduct the Evans Summer Institutes and Festivals of Dance at such locations as Fort Warde, Port Townsend, Wash.; Allegheny College, Meadville, Penn.; Dancers' Collective, Atlanta, Ga.; Contemporary Dancers Canada, Colorado Winnipeg, Manitoba; College, Colorado Springs, Colo.; and Indiana University, Blooming-to-n, Ind. In 1988 the Company was reorganized as the resident dance company of Indiana University, and in 1989 it became the professional contemporary dance company in residence at the Dance Program, University of New Mexico, which also hosts Ritmo Flamenco, directed by Eva Encinias. The Company made its first New and recorded by The Wild Rose String Band; The Legacy with music by Harold Shapero; and "Cuttin' a Rug" with music arranged and recorded by Count Basie and his Mexico appearances since reorgani- zation at Popejoy Hall in Albuquerque in June, 1989. It preformed in Taos in February 1990, and will appear at Santa Fe's Center for Contemporary Arts at Central State University in Edmond, Okla., and at the Community Center in Eagle Nest, N.M. A new version of "Mixin It Up," by the Bill Evans Dance Company and the RhoadsDowling Jazz Quartet, is planned for the University of New Mexico Popejoy Hall.
