Wed, AprU 20, 1988 Page 13 Route announced for Saturday's WalkAmerica This Saturday will be alive with activity as thousands of area volunteers take to the streets to fight birth defects during the March of Dimes WalkAmerica. The American Fork walk will begin at 8 a.m., with registration beginning at 7 a.m. The starting point will be the American Fork Fire Station, 80 N. Center. The walk route is as follows: Walkers proceed south on Main Street to Center Street. They walk west on Center to 300 West, north on 300 West to State Street, west on 8600 N.Main Street, Lehi, south on 200 West, east on 200 South, south on the Mill Pond Road, south on 7330 West, east on 7750 North, south on Storrs Road, east on 400 South, south on 100 West, east on 6800 North, north on 5750 West, east on north on 200 East, west on 400 South, 100 South and north on Center Street, finishing back at the fire station. A free lunch will be served the walkers after they complete the walk, as well as water and fruit throughout the walk. The collection party for American Fork walkers is scheduled for May 21 at Coop 'd Fun. Hundreds of footsteps, covering the entire front lobby, testify of the event. The footsteps are being sold for the March of Dimes to prevent birth defects. Utah Pizza Service, Inc., one of the Little Caesars Pizza franchise holders for the state, is contest conducting a company-wid- e pitting location against location to see which can sell the most March of Dimes footsteps. American Fork leads the way, but is being pushed by the West Valley location which has also been trampled. As of Monday, the American Fork store had sold 814 feet, almost 100 more than its closest competitor. The A.F. store has been so successful because of two reasons, according to General Manager Sandi Stalker.
