Schiess, son of Dennis and Marilyn Schiess, on Thursday, Aug. 27. An open house will be given in their honor that same evening from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at the home of Morris and Donna Clark, 308 West Main, Lehi. They wish to extend an to all friends and invitation relatives. Trent is currently employed in Pleasant Grove. The bride will graduate from Lehi High School this spring. Schiess, Kami Lyn Evans Michael graduated from Olympus High School and attended the University of Utah, majoring in physics. The couple will live in Salt Lake Phebe Innes returns from tour of Scandinavia City. Phebe Innes has returned from a k tour of the Scandinavian countries, of Norway, Denmark ancL,. Sweden. The quaint little farms in Sweden, the gorgeous scenery in Norway, The Tivoli Gardens, castles, and wonderful food in Denmark were all highlights. Modern statistics now show that marriages are increasing in those countries known for their liberal attitudes about "living together." Government rules specify, according to Innes, that all marriages must be performed civilly. The marriage ceremony lasts two and a half minutes, but, according to the tour guide, it takes much longer to get divorced. Another interesting fact about the two-wee- Lowell and Thelda Brown, Lehi couple, have returned to their home in Lehi after a very enjoyable vacation in Hawaii. The prospective groom attended Lehi High Schol and worked in family construction for eight years. He is currently employed in Salt Lake City. The couple will make their first home in Lehi. rs Scandinavian countries is that the beautiful small farms that dot the countryside are all subsidized by the government. The nights are long there, according to Mrs. Innes. "When it gets dark (about 11 p.m.) all the cars must drive with their lights on, even in the daytime." Because of the darkness, all the cars are fixed so that when you turn on the ignition the car lights go on, according to Mrs. Innes. And, now, the traffic laws have changed and the cars travel on the right side of the street. Mrs. Innes enjoyed her vacation, and will not forget the friendliness or welcoming atmostphere of the Scandinavian countries. Lowell and Thelda Brown enjoy Hawaiian vacation Cari Broadhead and Dallas Anderson have chosen to be married Aug. 21 in the Provo LDS Temple. They will be honored at a reception that evening at The Colonial House, 187 West Main, in Lehi. Mr. and Mrs. R.J. Hone of Lindon, to announce the forof their marriage thcoming daughter, Lisa, to Rick R. Beal, son of Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence R. Beal of Lehi. The couple will exchange vows on Friday, Aug. 28. A reception will be held in their honor that evening from 7 to 9 p.m. at the Colonial House, 187 West Main Street, Lehi. There will be dancing. All friends and relatives are invited to attend. Maid of honor will be Wendy Watts with bridesmaids, attending Donalee Chappell and Leslie Newell. are pleased Rose graduated with honors from Bingham High Sctool. She also attended Lehi High. She attended BYU on an academic scholarship and is presently employed in Salt Lake Both Mr. and Mrs. Brown keep busy gardening, golfing and keeping active in the church.
