Respect for signing of private and public lands will go a long way toward eliminating conflicts during the hunting season. There are a number of ways to make the hunting season more enjoyable. R: Review of 'Life With Father J. t-- By MARCELLA WALKER remember "Life With Father" on television, but this is the first time that I have seen the long running Broadway play, "Life With Father," in the theater. It is very funny. The audience fhuckles almost all the way through d the show, a comedy. Sometimes it is hard to stop chuckling so that you don't miss any light-hearte- f Theaudience gave rousing applause at the conclusion of "Life With Father" which is now playing tat the Valley Center Playhouse, 780 ;N. 200 East, Lindon. 1 The producer, Keith Renstrom, explained at the beginning of the 'show that they had had to replace ? the performers in two important "roles, Father and the Minister, just a couple of weeks before the play .opened on Aug. 8. ; In spite of the very good job done ;by Bill Brown as Father, my favorite was Jody Renstrom as ;;Vinnie (mother). Her performance fWas so convincing that I hung on "each word knowing that some drop pi humor was about to come forth. ( ! And it was not just the written lines she had learned, it was her interpretation of the lines and the subtleness of their meaning. It was good to see Maureen Eastwood, one of the most talented actresses in our area, in the role of Margaret. We should all be a little bit more like Margaret and not let the "Fathers" of this world scare us. iThe four boys who played the sons were well cast. Tyler Lysager, who played Whitney, the third son, did a fine job with all the quotes from the catechism that he had to recite. The continuous string of new maids was delightful and their fear of "Father" seemed very appropriate. This story is about a family, in the late 1880's, living in New York. The father believes himself in charge and the mother reinforces this belief while at the same time running things the way she wants using very good psychology. All goes well, at least as well as can be for a situation of this sort, until father discloses that he has not been baptised. This blows the religious staunchly supposedly family apart. The resulting chaos is the basis for ' a very good play. The comedy is'1 tremendous and you have to listen1 carefully so that you don't miss a' thing. The props for this play added a great deal to the atmosphere of the past century which was being "poruy---.-"--lII-Ii:- 1 v The play will be performed each Friday, Saturday and Monday through Sept. 1 at 8 p.m. Tickets are $3.
