Aug. 18, 1986, is the 60th Wedding of LaDrue (Hap) Anniversary Elva and Smith Varney. Varney Married in the Salt Lake LDS Temple, they have lived most of their lives in American Fork. Hap was born in Lehi, son of James and Rose Varney. He has worked in Chipman's Store and as a custodian for the Alpine School District. He has served many years with the American Fork Fire Department where he was Fire Chief. He is an avid gardener, sportsman and bowler. Elva was born in Alpine, daughter i' I j,!, liiillito Brandon Allen Smith, Sandra Ann Menhennett .. . of James and Lelia Smith. She has spent many years, serving in her church in various organizations.-Shhas worked in the school lunch program in the Alpine School District. She was active in the Fireman's Auxiliary. , Thev are parents of two sons and a daughter, Morris Smith, Alpine; David Wyoming and Coral Hicks, Pleasant Grove. Their children will honor them on Aug. 16, 1986 with a buffet from 1 to 5 p.m. at their daughter's home 1030 N. 600 West, Pleasant Grove. women's swimming team.
