Page B-- 2 Freeze Dried Food Task Force For Handicapped SALE American Fork Training School Has Club Participation Rate Highest nmu"ls pr 4-- H If the State Training School in American Fork were a county, it would have one of the highest participation rates in the state. Of the 400 dubs residents, 250 participate in and activities. Kieth Young, director of Utah State University programs at the State School, says that Utah is the Training first state in the nation to incorporate programs directly into a mentally 4-- 4-- H 4-- H 4--H handicapped institution. The program is one factor that makes it so a visitor to the school could easily forget that it is an institution for the mentally handicapped. Although there are some signs of necessary constraint visible in some parts of the school, for the most part the e area looks like a campus one might see anywhere else in the country. Residents move from building to building each hour to attend classes and to go to their part-tim-e jobs. Young, who is heading up the National "Task Force for Handicapped Programs" this year, has been working 4-- daily. Rabbits are among the most popular, but they also have horses, chickens, lambs and goats to work with. Young says. He says they have also been able to keep projects gardening trails." The park will also include a petting zoo featuring animals from the school's farm and hopefully some local wildlife. Young says.
