Show Dr. Ralph A. Goodwin Dies in Idaho at 70 Dr. Ralph Andrew Goodwin, prominent Idaho physician and former Salt Lake City physician and college athlete, died Saturday in Emmett tack. of a heart at- Dr. Goodwin was born in Lehi, Utah County, on October 20, 1907, to Samuel I. and Olena Anderson Goodwin. Dr. Goodwin is survived by his widow of Emmett, a son, David R., and two daughters, Mrs. Diane G. Wolf and Janet G. Kallis. Also surviving are four grandchildren and six sisters, Mrs. Claude L. (Wanda) Curtis, Mrs. Austin Funeral services Hazel November 4, 1898 in Lehi to Elisha Peck, Jr. and Elizabeth Jane Wilson Peck. She married David Bernell Bateman of Alpine, Utah, on April 14, 1920 in the Salt Lake Temple. He passed away October 17, 1961. She later married Henry Schlappy of Missoula, Montana, July Arnold 10, 1964. He passed away August 20, 1976. An active member of the LDS Church, she held many positions and found much joy doing temple work which she continued until the time of her death. She i!s survived by four sons and one daughter: Bernell LaVar Bateman, Mrs. Michael (LaVee) Kearney and Don W. Bateman, all of Lehi; Ralph H. Bateman, Roy, Utah; and Kenneth E. Bateman of Salt Lake City; 19 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren and three step-childre- Kieth, Reldon Schlappy and Lela Beagley, all of Missoula Montana; one brother, Odell Peck, Lehi, and a sister, Mrs. Harry (Mada) Peterson, also of Lehi. Burial will be in Lehi City Cemetery, where the Alumni the Award from University of Utah in Distinguished 1975. (Myrl) Temple. She was very active in the LDS Church serving as counselor in Relief Society, Primary, Sunday School and as a Relief Society teacher, and had been a captain of Carbon County D.U.P. She attended BYU and taught school several years. She is survived by her husband, Lehi; four sons, two daughters: Clinton I., Grant Lehi; love and exemplified eulogized Mrs. Smith for her beautiful spirit and many lovely attributes.
