Show WL Katies Takes First Place Si' - In ft Tri-Cit- League Play y Katies, Lehi's premier ladies Softball team, was formed in May to compete in the newly formed Tri-Cit- y T.. (QtM.1 . and ready. They culminated their first season of play with Provo Softball Leagues. After many hours of rough drills, the team was NEW DAUGHTER FOR KAYE AND LANA FOX ALL of the Mustang League All Stars, who won the state title, include Robert Colledge, Mike Thompson. Lehi Mustang Win State Championship All-Sta- rs What seemed like just a dream two months ago became reality for members of the Lehi Mustang All Star Team last week. The team won ttie state tournament held at Sunnyside Park in Salt Lake City. Six all star teams were represented including Highland, Corner Canyon, Emigration, Lincoln National, Mapleton and Lehi. The tourney was a six team double elimination tourney and Lehi mowed down their opponents in methodical order. Scores were: Lehi 16 - Highland 5; Corner Canyon 4 - Lehi 8; Emigration 3 - Lehi 16. Corner Canyon (semi-final- ) 6 - Lehi 8 and the championship game wound down in the fourth inning when Lehi had a 23-- 2 lead. The Lehi team played very well and improved remarkably during the post season tournaments. The well organized tournament was run by the Emigration All Star Tri-Cit- y Championship Trophy. They also placed second in the Provo "A" League. After the statistics were compiled at the conclusion of the season, Brenda MacNaughton was selected the Most I STARS-Memb- ers the ' Outstanding Player. They v i of will join with some 25,000 participants in a wide range of scouting activities to exchange ideas, share in competition and fellowship, and spend the week of 1979 together fostering the July concept of world brotherhood of scouting.
