The concert choir, which this week won the first place trophy at the region choral festival, will sing "My Bonnie Lass She Smileth," "Movin' On," and "The Lord in My Shepherd." The stage band will conclude the concert with several numbers, including "Captain Black," "Funktown," "Pochohantas," "Country Road," "A Child is Born," and "Nemesis." The combined groups of the Lehi High School Music Department will present a concert tonight (Thursday), it was reported by Dale H. Price, principal. Under the baton of Kirt Saville, featured in the concert will be the concert band, stage band, concert chorus and mixed choir. Curtain time will be 7:30 p.m. in the high school auditorium. Tickets, which will be $1.00 per person or $3.00 per family, will be available at the door. The public is invited and urged to attend. Grand prize winners in each division will each receive $1,000. Three first prizes in each division will each receive $200 and three second prize winners will each receive $100, with the final three winners in each division receiving $50. "This is the first time Lehi High School has had a winner in this contest," said Horace Walker, woodworking instructor at the local school, "and we are pleased and proud." Mr. Walker works closely with his students and encourages perfection in their work. "Aaron is a good student and works well with his hands," Mr. Walker said, noting that Aaron had submitted his entry with both the English and metric measurements and therefore will receive the additional $100 prize money. The plans were completed during Aaron's drafting class, under the watchful eye of instructor Ralph Dent. The past week Aaron and Mr. Walker were busy building a suitable packing for the entry so it could be shipped to New Britian, Connecticut for final judging. Previous Reduced liltIf In Nat. Contest Aaron Limb, son of Mr. and Mrs. Rulen Limb, has been named one of 10 national winners in the 1978 Stanley Tools Scholarship Contest. Aaron, 16, is a sophomore at the Lehi High School, and entered his woodwork project in the contest, which is a bed. The contest is open to all high school students from throughout the nation and consists of two divisions: ninth and tenth graders; and 11th and 12th graders. Entries were judged on originality of design, completeness of plan and usefulness of the completed project. The 10 best entries in each division were selected earlier this month and these finalists were required to send their completed project to the company for final judging. : Purpose of the contest is "to encourage young people to expand their natural abilities, their educational experiences in the field of woodworking and to open up new opportunities in career education," said James F, Titus, vice president, market planning and development, Stanley Tools, division of the Stanley Works.
