A new musician will be named each month. James Nielsen is the student to be honored for December. Janes Niekea James is the son of Donald and Marilyn Nielsen and is the oldest of eight children. Dorton has been named President of Torbet-Laske- r, Inc.. one of the nation's five leading radio sales representation firms in terms of volume, it was announced here today by Arch L. Madsen, President of Bonneville International Corporation. Simultaneously with the announcement of Mr. Dorton's appointment, Mr. Madsen also announced the selection of Alan Torbet to become Chairman of the Board and Chief Executive Office of Torbet-Laske- r, continuing to devote his full working time to the company's administration. In addition, Ralph Conner will continue as executive vice president of the firm, and Peter Moore, H. Peter Lasker and Brock Petersen will con-tu- e as vice presidents. Robert W. Barker will serve as vice president, secretary and general counsel. Torbet-Laske- r, which was recently acquired by Bonneville, is the national radio sales representative for many leading radio station, including stations in 44 out of the top SO markets. It is one of only five major full service radio sales representatives in the U.S. and now represents six of the Bonneville radio 11 one of stations. Torbet-Laske- r, the country's fastest-growin- g sales representatives, has offices in New York, where Mr. Dorton will headquarter, Chitago, Detroit, Atlanta, Dallas,' Los Angeles and San Francisco. Mr. Dorton holds an MBA from the University of Chicago and B.S. degree in manage- ment and communications , from the University of Utah. He and his wife, Joan, have one son and three daughters.
