MAY 13, W7S 1 : : Lehi Woman ROGClfaltO Attends Nat Convention Mildred Christiansen of Lehi, from recently returned she at- Washington D.C. where tended the National Convention of Licensed Practical Nurses. Besides attending the important convention sessions, she toured Washington D.C, and attended a temple session at the beautiful Washington Temple (where she met former Lehian Nan Broadbent Frand-sen- .) A tour of the White House was enjoyed as well as the trip to the top of the Washington Monument. The tour incuded an 18 mile trip down the Pgomac River, seeing the Pentagon, and the National Archives. They also spent a day in Pennsylvania where they visited the Amish people and saw - TO GRADUATE Gary C. Foote, left and Calvin Trane, top, both Lehi residents, will graduate in June from Utah Technical College at Provo. Gary has accepted employment with FMC Corporation in Wyoming and Calvin is currently employed with Alpine School District. SMITH Brian M. Smith Troop Called to Japanese Mission Brian M. smith, son of Mr. and Mrs. Mearle B. Smith has received his mission call to the Japan Sendai Mission. He will enter the Language Training Mission at BYU on May 20. There will be a missionary farewell for him on May 16 at 4:00 p.m. in the Lehi Fourth Ward. He wishes to extend an invitation to all friends and relatives to attend. Brian has served as president of his Teacher and Priest Quorums, and was president of the Lehi Seminary Council during his senior year. He was active of in sports, and was the varsity basketball team, and lettered in tennis for four years. He has received his Eagle Scout and Duty to God Awards. He has attended Ricks 112 - grandchildren. After Mr. Day's death in 1968V i she ,moved to Lehi. She moved back to American Fork in 1971. Her many hobbies include knitting, crocheting, and quilting. Raising beautiful flowers is her favorite pastime. Day Slated WILL GRADUATE - David Christofferson, top, Lehi, and Marvin Cook, Cedar Fort, will graduate as welders from Utah Technical College at Provo in June. Marvin has accepted employment with FMC Corporation, Wyoming, and David will be employed with Christofferson Valve in Lehi. Alpine Field Day is next Tuesday at the Lehi Jr. High campus with a fresh manicure and newly painted bleachers will host the events. Starting Tuesday morning May 18, full track events and tennis matches are on tap.
