The men assigned to this department have the responsibility to maintain the recreational property owned by (he cily as well as the city cemetery and the memorial building city offices and library. The personel consists of four full lime employees as well as it v several part time employees. Tim Monson serves as superintendent of the Parks department as well as the sexton at the cemetery. Jesse Davis serves as animal control officer and works for the department. Jack Brown works for the department along with Ernie Oliver and Melvin Johnson. These men have specific assignments in the department. Jess Davis' major assignment is the Veterans Park, Lions Park and Entrance Park. Jack Brown is assigned to the cemetery. The interior of the building has been renovated painted and new lights installed. Carpeting was installed in the library and a new furnace and boiler is being installed at the present time. With the exception of installing the carpet and boiler the work has been done by city forces. Our regular forces in the parks have been augmented by Youth Corp, personel as well as others who are assigned to the city from other programs in the county. Because of streamlining some of the procedures in the department we have been able to operate with less help last year than has been done before. After April, 1975, no one will be conducted during a few days in early 1976. The plans for annual registration are not yet complete.
