Region Four "will be affected by the realignment, with Orem and Provo High Schools being named the only Class "A" schools. All others, including Am. Fork and Lehi, will now be Class "B,fe schools, although the "B" schools will continue to schedule Orem and Provo in their league play. The realignment in its two year test period will have three classifications throughout the State with Class "A",Class'B", and Class and each class will hold football and basketball playoffs. One big change will be the Class "B" tournaments with only eight teams in the playoff, where formerly this was a sixteen team tourney. Football playoffs will see Orem and Provo match regular season records for the right to represent this area in "A" playoffs, while the top three teams in Region Four will qualify three teams for the "B" playoffs. All other sports will apparently remain as is. In basketball, only Orem or Provo, the one with the best record from league play, will be in the Class "A" tourney. Basketball as well as football playoffs will be held at a Utah County site, as Regions One, Two and Three, the large schools to the North, do not have any Class "B" or "C" schools. Class "C" playoffs will be held in the Southern part of the State, the area from which nearly all schools in the group are from. Nearly everyone affected by the move felt that this was a tremendous step, and for the first time schools, of Utah will compete on an enrollment basis. Class "A" schools, are those with enrollments over 900; Class "B" schools fall in the 300 to 899 group, and Class "C" will all be under 299 student UTC Faculty Ja-ne- en Christians.
