Show Orton Family Winners Named in District Holds Reunion Mr. and Mrs. George Wag- -' ner (Julia Orton) and daughter Kathy, of Farmington, New Mexico, visited here with family members last week. Mrs. Bert (Clara) Peterson of Lehi, joined the family group in Payson at the home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Grover Orton, well known former Lehi residents. It was Mrs. Peterson's first visit with the Wagners since their return from New Zealand, where they spent two years. Mr. Wagner was working as an electrical contractor there. Other sisters present were Mrs. Evelyn Olsen of Magna, and Mrs. Sarah Baird of Orem. Winners in the District 10 Riding Club Show which was held last Friday and Saturday at the American Fork Race Track and the Pleasant Grove Rodeo Arena were announced by Marie Thrasher, District 10 reporter Winners were awarded beautiful trophies, belt buckles and rib bons for the first four places in each event. These winners will compete at the region show that will be held in Heber, August 23 and 24. Matched Pairs-Mar- ie Thrasher and Woneva Myers, first; ArtaleeToth and Carol iff WESTON INNES Weston Innes Race-Sherif- Receives Eagle Scout Award Weston R. Innes, 14, son of Mr. and Mrs. E. Russell Innes, has earned the coveted rank of Eagle Scout. The award was presented this week at the regular Court of Honor by Dr. Wayne B Hales of Provo. Dr. Hales was the first scoutmaster in Provo and is a member of the staff at BYU. Weston will enter Lehi High this fall. While in junior high school he was a member of the school Safety Committee. He is a member of Troop Nine of the Lehi Sixth Ward. He has served his troop as Assistant Patrol Leader, Patrol Leader and Librarian. Weston enjoys sports and has played Little League Football, and has been a member of the Ward Jr. baseball and basketball teams. His hobbies include golf. He assists his father in his publishing business. en Samuel Family To Hold Reunion s- At Saratoga The Samuel Webb family reunion was held Sunday at Saratoga with some 60 in attendance. Picnic luncheon, a program of family talent and swimming and other attractions of the resort, were enjoyed. Mrs. Samuel (Mary) Webb, who has taken charge of previous reunions, as signed her grandson and his wife, Mr. and Mrs. Jack Parry of Salt Lake City, to serve as chairmen. All of her children, with their family members, were present. These included Mr. and Mrs. Wallace Thompson (Ella) of Riverton; Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Parry (Viva), also of River-to- n; Mr. and Mrs. Vaughn Duke (Thelma), Draper; Mr. and Mrs. Reed Newman (Arlene) of PI. Grove; Mrs. Arval Potter (Stella), now of Salina, and Mr. and Mrs. William Nye (Edna) of Lehi. Jones, will be assisted by Mary Beth Reynolds of Anaheim, California, who is a student at Brigham Young University. Classic and semi-classsolos, piano duets and an organ selection will be featured. Mr. Jones will be happy to play selections requested by those in attendance. Mr. Jones is a third year student at Brigham Young University, following a major In music and a language minor. Kent Shepherd is superintendent, with Melvin Kirkham and James Gray In an impressive ceremony performed at the Chapel of the Bells, In Las Vegas, Nevada, Beverly Thomas Buchanan and John William Clark of Mission Hills, California, exchanged wedding vows. Rings were exchanged. The double ceremony also united Helen Carrol and Thomas Morgan, also of California, and close friends of the Clarks. A reception was held at the family home in Granada Hills, California. In attendance for the late July ceremony and reception were the parents of the new Mrs. Clark, Mr. and Mrs. Wilson Greenwood of Lehi. They remained on the coast for two weeks where they were extensively entertained. They visited with Mr. and Mrs. George Watkins, their grand- - daughter Linda, in Granada Hills, and at the home of a brother, Mr. and Mrs. Blaine Karren. In Los Angeles. Mr. and Mrs. Ronald Karren, a nephew, en tertained at dinner, with Mr. and Mrs. James Karren, also a nephew in attendance. Rhonda and Darwin Buchanan are with their mother, Mrs. Clark, at their new home inMis-sio- n Hills. The family also includes Linda and Laurie Clark, children of Mr. Clark. Young, who has spent the past eight years in Eau Gallie, Florida, has moved to Lehi to make his home. With him are his children, Von James and Joyce. They are remaining with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Von Young. Mr. Young has been employed by the RCA company on a government assignment at Patrick Air Force Base. He will attend Brigham Young University studying toward the Master's degree in the electronics field. Dr. Mark Young, instructor of veterinary science at the Texas A&M University, joined his parents and family members for a visit. He is accompanied by his wife and three children, Douglas, Jolene and Clinton.
