Mil ler, a son of Mr. and Mrs. Clifford L. Miller. The marriage ceremony took place in the Salt Lake Tern pie Friday, April 13, with the parents of both bride and groom and close relatives and friends in attendance. The wedding party of 18 were entertained at dinner at Harman's Cafe, with the parents of the br idegroom as the hosts. The newlyweds were further honored at a large reception held in the Lehi Second Ward church that same evening. A dainty color theme of pink, blue and white was followed, with umbrellas of net ac centing the April motif. Sheaves of calla lillies with pink carnations were used in decoration. Serving tables were centered by milk . ? V I ft, I Miss Rebecca Holmes Rebecca Holmes To Marry Frank G. Severson Mr. and Mrs. Theron C. Holmes are announcing the engagement and forthcoming marriage of their daughter, Miss Rebecca Aleene Holmes, t6 Frank Gordon Severson, a son of Mrs. Velda Severson of Sioux Falls, ISouth Dakota. Marriage vows will be recited Saturday, April 28, in the Ward church, with Bishop Wayne Powell officiating. An open house reception will be held that evening in the Lehi Riding Club clubhouse at 289 North Fifth West. Receiving will be from 8 to 10 pjn. All friends and relatives are cordially invited to at, tend. Miss Holmes is a graduate of the Lehi High School and LDS Seminary and is currently studying commercial art at the Salt Lake Trade and Technical School. She served on the student council in both school and seminary and was on the Senior Hop committee. She followed employment at the Lehi Drive-i- n and is now employed at Howard's Market in Salt Lake City. Mr.' Severson, who received his barber training at the Salt Lake Trade and Technical School, has served in the navy. He has accepted a position in Columbia Falls, Montana, where the young couple will make their home. Third-Seven- Leity Club to Tour Training School th Members of the Leity Club will join in a tour of the American Fork Training School Thursday (tonight). One of the doctors will give a lecture on advancement made by patients at the school and the problems encountered. Members are asked to be in their seats at the school by 7 p.m. As it is guest night they are asked to bring their husbands. Bake Sale Successful The sale of home baked cakes, pies and other appetizing foods, held by the club in advance of Easter, was very successful. Attendants included the twin sister of the bride, Mrs. Lloyd (Betty) Gurney as matron of hor I or, with val Dean bly, Patricia Parry, Carol Tayson and Mary Ann Miller, niece of the groom. With Mrs. Gumey attired in baby blue, the other attendants wore pink. Each held a miniature umbrella with pink carnations and lily of the valley. The flower girl, little Jacklyn Sly, was similarly attired. both bride and groom were modishjy attired in acqua models ,with white orchid corsages. Serving as best man was Cregg Miller, brother of the groom, with Read Miller, Donald Parry and Lloyd Gurney as ushers. Carol Ann Miller cared for the guest bdok and Mr. and Mrs. Dale Miller and Mr. and Mrs. Newell Taysom greeted the guests at the door. In charge of the gift room were Mrs. Dorothy Ivers and Mrs. Read Miller, assisted by LaRee and La- Rae Gurney. With Mr. and Mrs. Donald Limb and Mr. and Mrs Ralph Street taking charge of the refreshment table, girls serving included Nancetta Bowler, Dorene Walker, Sandra Lee Limb, Elese Jackson, Pat Lund and RaNae Lund. During the receiving, Miss Elese Jackson and Miss Patricia Brown provided a background of piano music. Following a honeymoon in Las Vegas, Nevada, the new Mr. and Mrs. Miller will make their home in Lehi. The mothers of Athenians Hear Talk on British Tour; Name Officers The meeting of the Athenian Club was held at the home of Mrs. W. D. Watkins, with Mrs. Gam Holbrook, club president in charge. In charge of program arrangements was Mrs. Harold W. Barnes. Mrs. Glen Trane gave an interesting account of her travels in England, Scotland and Ireland while in Great Britain where she went to sing with the Relief So ciety "Singing Mothers" chorus at the Hyde Park Chapel dedication. Mrs. Robert Fox presented an appropriate litany and Mrs. Douglas Smith reported on the meeting of the Women's Legislative Council, Refreshments followed the Easter Theme.
