It Pays to Advertise U jl In W.I The Adult Evening High School of Alpine School District will open its doors on September 26, at Pleasant Grove High School, according to Ellen W. Brown, supervisor of Adult Education. The school is being inaugurated for adults who wish to complete for high school graduation. Classes will be held three nights weekly Mondays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays. Classes will be divided into two semesters of twelve weeks each. The first semester will begin September 26, and conclude December 15. The second semester will commence Jan. 9, and end March 30. One half unit of credit will be given for each class in each semester successfully completed. The fee for each class will be $12.50, payable at the time of registration. Lehi Little Leaguers Place Fourth, Take Consolation Trophy at Meet teams participated in the first tournament held in Utah County, last week. The "Braves," first place winners in local play, came out with fourth place honors at the tournament. They were awarded a bronze placque. Lehi's second place winners, the "White Sox," came out with sixth place, the consolation winners at the tourney. They were awarded a trophy, featuring a bronze figure. The managers, Jack Gray of the Braves, and Homer Trinnaman and Leo Loveridge for the White Sox, and each boy in the teams were awarded certificates. The tournament will continue as an annual event. Trophies on Display The two attractive trophies are on display in the window of the E. N. Webb Jewelry, on Main St. The tournament was played in Spanish Fork, August 15 to 20. The White Sox lost one game to the Orem Americans No. 2, and the Braves lost to Spanish Fork's Dodgers. Saturday night these two winners competed for the champ ionship. Spanish Fork was the win ner and will go on to Salt Lake City, and will be guests of the Salt Lake Bees. All children who attended school last year should bring their promotion cards with them. Those entering fourth grade should have their physical and dental examinations, Mr. Burgess said. Bus schedules will be the same as last year. School lunch will be served the first day of school. The cost will be the same as last year, 25 cents per person for students. First grade children who live in the Third and Fourth ward areas will attend school In the morning. Those who ride the Stone bus will attend in the afternoon. Mr. Burgess said letters are being sent to kindergarten .students who registered last spring, telling them when to start school.
