Lehi Native Carol Mott, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Glen Mott, was injured last week while bicycling with two cousins, Dianne Grace and Sherry Coates. A bolt apparently becarie icos-ene- d in her bicycle wheel, causing Carol to be thrown violently forward. Clad in her bathing ;'iit. she was badly bruised on the gravel road. Several teeth were chipped and a front tooth which was knocked out has been replanted and, according to Mrs. Mott, the family dentist believes itself and that it will thereby be saved. Carol's pipy-matwere not involved ir the accident. Joseph Franklin Russon. 84, noted Utah artist and educator, died Tuesday. August 12, at 10:45 p.m., following a long illness. Death occurred at his residence, 1560 Kensington Avenue, in Salt Lake City. He was born in Lehi, April 10, 1874, a son of Lott and Eliza Round Russon. He married Lily Wood Repton on June 15, 1898, in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. She died January 20, 1955. His art and education career began in 1910, when he became are supervisor tor Utah County schools. Alter a lew years, he moved to Salt Lake County. He was art supen isor for the Salt Lake City public schools for many ?ars, taught art and manual training for some time and was an art instructor at Murray and East High Schools. He was a graduate of Pratt Institute of New York, and attended Brigham Young University. Mi'. Russon also instructed at the University of Utah and at the Brigham Young University summer school. He had exhibited paintings at a number of art shows and had won several first place and purchase prize awards. A number of murals in the Salt Lake Temple are Mr. Russon's work. Active in the LDS Church, he served a mission to Great Britain. He had held many religious offices, and was a member of the High Priests Quorum, Colonial Hills LDS Ward.
