Robert Jorgensen Married in Manti Temple Ceremony A lovely affair of the mid-sumer season was the wedding of Miss Janice Sorensen, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Lewis Turner, and Robert Jorgensen of American Fork. The young couple exchanged vows Monday, July 18, in the Manti Temple, where they were accompanied by Mr. and Mrs, Abraham D. Jorgensen, parents of the groom, and other family mem- bers. A large newlyweds feted reception the that same evening in church Ward the which was decorated with bouquets of bridal pink rosebuds and carnations and gypsophilia. Salmon gladioli and white tapers and palms composed the background interest. A wedding cake, decorated with miniature Temple and bride and groom, was displayed on a large mirror. The petite brunette bride chose a wedding gown of white satin, entrain, with long pointed sleeves, bustle back and rounded neckline. A fingertip length veil, bordered with chantilly lace, fell from a pearlized lace bandeau. Two large orchids and stephanotis composed the bridal bouquet. Attendants were Miss Debra Wilson as maid of honor; Rose-marWilcock, Lael Houghton and Rochelle Clark. They wore pastel shades enhanced by carnation corsages. Small flower girls, Betty Lou Turner, sister of the bride, and Elva Jorgensen, sister of the groom, wore like formals of blue and held cacnation nosegays. Mothers of both bride and groom were attired in pastel blue with pink carnation corsages. Shirl Mitchell stood as best man, while Ron Long and Lee Openshaw were ushers. Mrs. Mrs. Richard Sorensen, Elwood Sorensen and Mrs. LaVar Sorensen were in charge of the gift room. Glenna Fae Beuhler cared for the guest book. Evans Cafe catered the refreshments which were served by Audrey Simmons and Lorraine A. Openshaw. Mrs, Inez MacDonald played background music during the receiving and also for the bridal waltz, 'Memories." Gary Clark and Lynn Courney eescorted the flower girls for the waltz. Bishop Calvin Swenson was master of ceremonies for the program which included a song, "O, Premise Me," by Janet Holmstead, with Tamara and Roberts as accompanist, toasts by Mrs. Audrey Wilson and Ron Long. Mrs. Hilda Mitchell played a request piano selection, 'Heart Tones," Billie Evans presented a character dance, and Rosalie Anderson a chimes solo, 'I Love You Truly. A 'vocal duet, 'My Best to You," by Carol Ann Nielsen and Phyllis Price, was accompanied by Mrs. Ruby Nielsen. The bride attended the Lehi high schol and LDS Seminary, where she is a member of the Boosters Club and has also participated in FHA Club affairs and the GAA, a member of the girls' basketball team. Mr. Jorgensen attended American Fork high school and is employed by the Utah-Idah- o Sugar Company. Following a honeymoon trip to Yellowstone Park the new Mr. and Mrs. Jorgensen are at home in . Work was continued on their skirts. Elaine Haws gave a demonstration on sewing on the skirt band. The beautiful LDS Temple was visited in her round of fascinating tours. Miss Strong, who accompanied friends who are serving as LDS missionaries in the islands, is employed in Hawaii. She plans to make the return trip by plane in August.
