J7 '' . . t ! i - MB. AND MRS. DON J. HANSEN Miss Raelene Hunger Married to Don J. Hansen in Temple Ceremony Miss Raelene Hunger, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Francis A. Hunger, and Don J. Hansen exchanged wedding vows in the Salt Lake Temple, Thursday, March 18. Mr. Hansen is a son of Mr. and Mrs. Robert L. Hansen of Ferron. Included in the wedding party were the parents of both bride and groom, Mr. and Mrs. Keith Carlson (Glenda Hunger) and Mr. and Mrs. Orval DeSpain. A reception, held March 18, in the Fourth Ward church, honored the newlyweds. Pink snapdragons and white carnations combined with palms and lighted white tapers in tall candelabra in an imA tiered pressive background. cake, topped with miniature bride and groom was placed an a handmade medallion lace cloth, and .followed the color theme of pink and pastel green. Serving tables were decorated with carnations in crystal floating bowls. For the occasion the bride donned a model of nylon tulle over satin, her own design. Chantilly lace insertion accented the bouffant skirt. A high wing collar and long pointice sleeves detailed the fitted bodice of lace. A pearl necklace was the gift of the groom. A veil of nylon tulle fell to fingertip length from a lace tiara. A large orchid with pink rosebuds and stephanotis and satin streamers composed the bridal bouquet. Attending was Mrs. Keith Carlson, sister of the bride, as matron of honor. She wore pastel green and held a basket of pink carnations. Miss La Dawn Hunger, Miss Merlyn Hunger, Mrs. Reece Hansen and Miss Dorothy Reynolds, gowned in pastel colors, held similar baskets. The mothers of both bride and groom were attired In navy with corsages of roses and carnations. Reece Hansen performed best man's duties for his brother, while Keith Carlson, Morris Brady, Karl Ingram and Charles Mercer ushered. Mr. and Mrs. John Southwick greeted the guests at the door. Organ music was played by Miss Anne and Carter's DeSpain orchestra furnished music for Mrs. Carol Norberg dancing. Pulham cared for the guest book and Mrs. Orval DeSpain was in charge of the gift register. Gwen and Janice Harper received the gifts which were arranged by Mr. and Mrs. Orval Despain, Mary, Carol and Jean Harper. Jay Haws catered the refreshments which were served by Wood, lona Roundy, Marilyn Joyce Evans and Elaine Haws. Bishop Grant Christofferson was master of ceremonies for the program which featured toasts by Mrs. La Veil Jorgensen and Bishop Thomas Wolsey of the Provo Fifth Ward; songs, Bonnie Smith with Linda Smith as accompanist, and a pantomine by Gordon Bennett. A solo, "Thine Alone," by Hunger, was accompanied by Dorothy Nuttall. Edward Hale Southwick, cousin of the bride, offered the prayer. The bridal waltz,-"- I Love You Truly," and "Melody of Love," preceded dancing by the entire assemblage. For her going away, the new Mrs. Hansen wore an avocado suit with green accessories. Following a honeymoon in Las Vegas, the couple are at home in the Provo La-Da- Morris Brown Pfc. Glen Larsen left last Tuesday by plane for Florida, after a month's furlough here with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Leslie Larson. He made the trip by plane. George Tilbury Expected Home From Germany Mi's. Owen Whitehead (Viola Brown) received word that her son. Seaman 1c Morris Brown of the navy has been transferred to Cuba, aboard the battleship, USS Hazeelwood. He spent the winter in New York, following an around the world cruise. His twin brother, Cpl. Merrill Brown of the army, who has spent 19 months in Germany, expects to return home in the near future. He expects discharge in April. TSgt. Ferris Brown of the Marines has been transferred from to Havelock, North Carolina, Camp LeJeune in the same state. His wife and two children are with him. They have been in that area for nearly three years. MARCH 31, 1955 MRS. DEAN PRIOR HONORED BY COUSINS BIRTHDAY CLUB An enjoyable gathering was held at the home of Mrs. Dean Prior, Sunday, in honor of her Sixteen cousins of birthday. Mrs. Prior, composing the Cousins Birthday Club, were present for good wishes, games and reminiscence. They plan to observe the birthdays of all in the group. Also present were Mrs. Fay Bills, sister of Mrs. Prior, of Salt Lake City, and three aunts, Mrs. Hazel Larsen and Mrs. Ann Harryman of Spanish Fork, and Mrs. Mary Larsen, who is visiting in Utah, from Los Angeles, Calif. First Sergeant Tilbury, who has spent the past 28 months with the army in Germany, expects to return home in the near future. His daughter Star, 7, and son Blaine, 5, are looking forward to greet him. He will see the baby, Georgia Kay, now 22 months old, for the first time. P. Diehl (Doretta Turner) underwent surgery, Friday, March 25, at the Holy Cross Hospital. Her husband is remaining in Salt Lake City near her. Family members reported her slightly improved this week. When able to leave the hospital, she will return to the home of her sister, Mrs. Ralph Powell.
