I or GEORGE EDWARD ROBINSON, FATHER OF LEHI RESIDENTS, DIES George Edward Robinson, 64, father of Mrs. Helen Hampton and Mrs. Naomi Holmes of Lehi, died Sunday morning in a Provo hospital, after illness. He made his home in American Fork. Mr. Robinson was born June 28, 1892, in American Fork, a son of George E. and Julia Jan? Williams " Robinson. '""" " He was married to Lillian Jeffs December 11, 1912. She died August 20, 1929. Survivors include one son and five daughters, Frank E. Robinson, Orem; Mrs. Edith Draper, and Bountiful; Mrs. Hampton Mrs. Holmes, Lehi; Mrs. Dorothy Degelbeck, Ophir, and Mrs. Betty Gushing, Midvale; 19 grandchildren and two two brothers and three sisters. Funeral services were held Wednesday at 2:30 p. m. in the Anderson and Sons Mortuary Chapel in American Fork, with burial in the American Fork cemetery. n; Congressman Henry Aldous Dixon, former President of the Utah State Agricultural College (right), congratulates Professor Lyman H. Rich, Extension Service Dairy Specialist, who received the United States Department of Agriculture's Superior Service Award. The bride is the former Renee Painter, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Fred L. Painter of Nephi. Parents of bridegroom are Mr. and Mrs. James E. Peterson of Cedar Fort. For her wedding the lovely young bride chose a waltz-lengt- h model of pleated tulle and chant.il-l- y lace designed with a scalloped neckline. Pearls and sequins enhanced the bridal veil. She carried a white bible and two orchids. Attending the bride were Mrs. James L. Painter, Mrs. James H. Ockey, Jr., Mrs. Ned Greenhalgh, Anora Bedke and Dixie Howard. Flower girl was tiny Marjorie on Washington, D. C Sen. Wallace F. Bennett has filed for reelection to the United States Senate, it was disclosed this week. Senator Bennett is unopposed for the Republican nomination. In announcing his candidacy, Sen. Bennett said, "I have been able to initiate or support many programs of specific value to the State, including numerous reclamation and flood control projects; of our National improvement Parks and Monuments; improvements in recreational facilities in our National Forests; increased funds for school land surveys, predatory animal control, and many similar projects. "In the field of education, I have supported the legislation for aid to Federally affected areas, which has brought more than eleven million into Utah for our schools. I actively supported the Fulbright Act, which provides for of studinternational ents, and I was instrumental in getting eleven million restored to the student exchange program. I also supported an increase in borrowing authority of HHFA for colledge housing, and Conthe School emergency struction Act." He also noted that he was author of the Sugar Act of 1956, and of the industrial dispersal legislation which is bringing new defense industry to the West. Senator Bennett also introduced the amendments to the Highway Act which resulted in an expanded program for' National Parks and Forests. Painter. Paul Peterson was best man for his brother. Ushers were James Glade L. Painter, Louis Berry, Peterson and Dick Mitchell. Following a honeymoon in Yellowstone Park, the new Mr. and Mrs. Peterson are- spending- - the summer in Lehi. They will return to Logan this fall and continue their education at the USAC. The bride is affiliated with Alpha Chi Omega sorority.
