Show t IXm Don't be a Litterbug, Lehi Students Urge Third Grade Students Compose Apt Verses For Cleanup Time At a time when all thoughts are turned to Spring cleaning and Lehi Third civic beautication, Grade students have composed some apt verses on the subject. An anti-LittBug poster was displayed at the school and a discussion followed. Mrs. Leaone Carson's Third Grade pupils wrote verses as a part of their language work in creative writing. Some of these follow: LEHI ROADS Don't be a Litter Bug, And mess up Lehi streets. The program will feature talks on the life and accomplishments of President David O. McKay, modern prophet, and will follow the theme, "An Inspiring Prophet in the Fullness of Times. ' Kenneth Gray of the Second Ward will speak on the phase, "Boyhood and Youth." Lois Fowler of the Sixth Ward will follow the subject, "The True Latter Day Saint Home;" Joycelyn Wimmer of Cedar Valley will follow the subject, "Fifty Years as a General Authority." Kent Shepherd of the Fourth Ward will present favorite topics of Presiden McKay in his subject, "To Guide Us in These Latter Days." MIA Joys, Junior Gleaner, Awards Junior Alta Clark, stake leader, will honor the Mia Joys, and Silver Gleaner awards will be presented by Dimple Mellor, stake leader. Carl Mellor, stake Junior director, will present awards to those in his department who have achieved them. Activity Counselor Beda Peck will conduct the meeting. Loren Bone and Carma Woffinden will offer the prayers. Special musical numbers will include a trio by Eugene Webb,' Paul Thayn and and Wayne Carlton, Jr. Vervene Grant will sing a Gleaner song.
