"Happy Stitchers" Four-Club met at the home of their leader, Mrs. Naomi Shaw, who was FOCR-- H H with Temple Marriage Unites Miss Anne Laura Black and Paul C. Bennett A lovely ceremony in the Idaho Falls Temple united Miss Annie Laura Black and Paul Carr Bennett in marriage, Friday, August 7. The bride is the daughter of Mrs. Kathleen Ison Black of Hurricane, and the late Rial Black. The groom is a son of Mr. and Mrs. Clifford Bennett. President Schoules of the Southern States Mission, officiated, in the presence of the mothers of the bride and groom. Mrs. Alice Stice, a friend, also attended. A large circle of friends congratulated the newlyweds at a reception, Saturday evening, in the new recreation hall and patio at Hurricane. LaRae, a sister of the bride stood as matron of honor. Also with the bridesmaids was Miss Linda Bennett, sister of the groom. Von Bennett stood as best man for his brother. Ramona Gibson was in charge of the guest book. Mrs. Richard L. Anderson (Ann Bennett) was mistress of ceremonies for the program. The bride and groom were fellow students at Dixie College where both were outstanding in dramatics, speech and athletics. Paul conducted a 15 minute radio program and was presented a special award for participation in journalism. He was associated with the Beta diaper of Lambda Delta fraternity. He is on furlough from the army where he will return for special schooling In Intelligence. The bride was honored at a shower in the Fifth Ward church, Wednesday evening. Clifta Var-neBeverley Hoggard and Faye Gofrey were the hostesses. Mrs. Marie Carr cared for the guest book and Mrs. Lucille Ingram was mistress of ceremonies for the y, LUCKY CLOVER FOUR-CLUB The Lucky Clover Four-club has held three meetings recently. They were held at the homes of Kaye Webb, Ranae Russon and Janet Webb. Demonstrations took up the time at one of the meetings, and at the others the girls worked toward completion of their "best" dresses which is their project. Re freshments were served.
