Mrs. Dorothy Ivers. well known employee at Webb's jewelery two store, spent an enjoyable weeks visiting in the middle west. At Cleveland. Ohio, they were guests of an uncle. Ernest Read and an aunt, Mrs. George Read, who entertained in their honor and escorted them to the many points of interest in the locality. Highlight of their stay was their attendance at the wedding of IX Harold Ivers, son of Mrs. Ivers, and Miss Lethea Ruth Urquart, in Chicago. They were house guests at the Roderick Urquhart home during the time spent there. A planned tour of Chicago was en joyed. The ladies made the trip by train aboard the scenic "California Zephyr." The pair were married at the home of the bridegroom's parents, with Bishop Harold Barnes of the Lehi LDS Third Ward officiating. Evelyn Alired. a sister of the bride was her only attendant, while Don Jones, a friend, stood with the gridegroom. The bride was becomingly attired in a gown of white slipper satin with lace forming the yoke, and the long sleeves being pointed at the wrist. Her finger tip veil of tulle and lace was gathered to a crown of seed pearls. She added a pearl necklace, a gift of the bridegroom, and a corsage of pink rose buds and a white orchid. Among guests attending were parents of the couple and Evelyn, Lila, LaRita, Velda and Mrs. Ellen Lea; Jolene, Maria, Lona, and Karl Peck, brothers and sisters of the bridegroom: Mr. and Mrs. Joe Manning, and son, Tommy; Joan Manning, Veda Higbee, Helen Fletcher, Dianna Johnson, Mr. and Mrs. Don Jones, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Jentyseh. Following a social period, the couple left for a short honeymoon. Upon their return, Monday, they will be honored at an open house at the bride's home. For her going away, the bride wore a suit of navy blue gabardine with white accessories. New Mrs. Peck will graduate from the Lincoln High School on May 29. She has served on the year book staff for two years, is president of her home room class and a member of the FHA Club. She was graduated from LDS Seminary last year. Jerry was graduated from Lehi High School where he was active in sports. He joined the U. S. Navy in January of 1952 and for the past year has been stationed in Adak, the Aleutian Islands. On short leave from his base, he will leave June 17 for Rainsbridge, AND MRS. DAVID ROBERTS, FOWLERS ATTEND NEVADA CELEBRATION Mr. and Mrs. David Roberts left last Thursday for a visit in Las Vegas, Nevada, where they attended "Heldorado Days," rodeo and celebration. With them went Mrs. Kate Fowler and her grandson, Wandell Farnsworth, who is attending school in Ogden. The Fowlers were guests at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Valdis Millet. Mr. and Mrs. Roberts joined their daughter, Dr. LaPriel Williams for an enjoyable visit. Up from Downey, California, she brought her daughter, Joan, 12, and son Eugene, 14. Members of the Junior Riding Club of Los Angeles, they rode in parades Friday and Saturday. SIKPKISE PARTY MARKS BIRTHDAY OF RAY SOUTHWICK A delightful surprise party at which Mrs. Southwick was hostess marked the birthday of Ray Southwick, Wednesday, May 13. Tulips and lilacs accented the spring theme. A decorated cake was the centerpiece. Bingo and other games were played. SISTERS JOIN IN IDAHO FALLS TEMPLE SESSIONS Mrs. Keith Powell accompanied her sister, Mrs. Bliss Fitzgerald (Anita Van Wagoner) and a group of missionaries to Idaho Falls, Saturday, where they attended two sessions at the temple. Included in the sessions were 150 former missionaries of the North Central and Southern States Missions. Temple President William L. Killpack, who officiated, was mission president in the North Central States, during Mrs. Fitzgerald's missionary service. Many in the group were her contempor-ie- s. Now of American Fork, Mrs. Fitzgerald is a well known former resident of Lehi, one of the Van SISTERS HONOR MRS. LEONARD PETERSON ON BIRTHDAY A Catherine of sisters on Thurs day marked the birthday of Mrs. Leonard Peterson, which occurred on May 19. Joining Mr. and Mrs. Peterson at dinner at their home were Mrs. John (Athens Chapman of Lay Ton; Mrs. James Trinnaman (Alice), Salt Lake City; Mrs. Herman Allred (Ada) and Mrs. Harry Stoker (Janette). Another sister. Mrs. Zina Wood-hous- e of Burley, Idaho, was unable to attend. Her daughters, Mrs. Odell Peck and Mrs. Wilson Lee of Eureka, assisted.
