The proclamation calls attention to the sacrifice of life made by young men of Lehi in the three wars of this century and calls upon all citizens to show that they remember and honor these men by wearing the war memorial flower. Poppies made by disabled veterans, will be distributed on the streets throughout the day by women of the American Legion Auxiliary, who will receive contributions for the welfare of the disabled men and needy children of veterans. Mrs. C. M. Carson, president of the local American Legion Auxiliary organization stated that 700 veterans made poppies have been received for Lehi's Poppy Day. A canvass of homes and business houses will be made as well as the contacts on the street.
