EARLY MARCH MTTIALS SET FOR ROWEN A ABBOTT, DARHL TINGEY With rites scheduled for Thurs day, March 8, in the Salt Lake Temple, Miss Roena Abbott will become the bride of Darhl L. Tingey. The lovely bride elect is the daughter of the late Stephen P. Abbott and Mrs. Abbott, and the prospective groom the son of Mr. and Mrs. J. L. Tingey. Miss Abbott, who is active in church work and has taught in the Primary organization, is a graduate of the LDS Seminary. In her Senior year at the Lehi High school, she was in the pos ture parade for several years, FIIA, chorus and orchestra. Mr. Tingey graduated from the local high school and Seminary and was FFA president. Formerly of Ogden and Salinas, California, he has lived in Hawaii and attended Junior high school there. He fulfilled a two year LDS Mis sion in the Hawaiian Islands, re turning a year ago. He attended the USAC at Logan on a scholar ship, specializing in agriculture and photography. He received State-wid- e for his recognition photography, and a copy of his aerial view of the USAC campus, enlarged 100 times, is hung in College Hall there. He has a fine collection of colored slides taken in the Hawaiian Islands, and is much in demand for illustrated lectures on the subject. He served as Centennial photographer and aided in the production of the Lehi Centennial history. Ah, me! Our entire system of education is wrong. In the third grade at school, little minds should be made to study Latin, 1 Choose a teacher at first in whom you have confidence; one whose background is firm and productive. 2) Have a clear understanding with the teacher as to the pupil's abilities.
