BARNES Funeral services for Joseph Ernest Barnes, 71, who died at his home, Saturday, after a lingering illness, were conducted Wednesday afternoon in th Third Ward under the direction of Bishop Harold W. Barnes. Mr. Barnes was born June 30, 1877. in Lehi. a son of Josonh S and Elizabeth E. Rhodes Barnes He was married to Azalia Brook of Lehi, September 1, 1909, in the Salt Lake Temple. Mr. Barnes has spent most nf his life in railroading and ranch ing. He is survived by his widow and eight sons and daughters: Joseph Floyd, Ernest Lynn, C. Jack, and Freeman J. Barnes, all of Lehi; El win Barnes, Riverton; Miss June L. Barnes and Mrs. Charles Slater, Lehi; and Mrs. E. L. Turner, Salt Lake City. Two sisters.
