It is felt fifes and cases of " fire outside Lehi city limits yet still depend ing on Lehi for fire fighting service can be more efficiently coped wth by the use of the Chief Powers lighter truck. pointed out that some fires in recent years could not be approached with the larger truck and that the availability of the more mobile unit would increase the Lehi department's efficiency. Too, in the past it has frequently been necessary for members of the department to drive their own cars to fires outside the city limits. On occasion the problem of whether to use the truck and equipment in answering an alarm some miles distant thus leaving the city unprotected for that period of time has presented several questions. It is thought that in the near future probably equipment for pumping water may be mounted on the new truck.
