CLASS OF 36 PARTY The class of 36 party was held at the Twin Pines in Orem, Saturday evening, with 40 guests being present and enjoying a banquet and dance. New officers chosen for next year's activities were: Mr. and Mrs. Calvin Fox, Mr. and Mrs. Lowell Fox. Mr and Mrs. Dale Whimpey and Matthew Carson. Mr. and Mrs. E. Rodney Dick- erson returned home Friday, after a week's vacation trip. Leaving Friday, October 1, they visited Bryce Canyon and Zion Park, as well as the Grand Can yon. Travelling to Phoenix and Mesa, Arizona, they visited the Mesa Temple, and principal cities in New Mexico. At Santa re, they saw the Governor's Palace and museum, and called at the San Miguel church and the old est home in the city, both the church and the home reputed to be the oldest in the nation. F. Houghton, became the bride of La Mar Howarth, son of Mr. and Mrs. George G. Howarth of Nephi, in one of the loveliest weddings of the season. The marriage took place at the home of the bride's mother, with Presi dent Frank Jones performing the ceremony. Duane Sperry of Nephi was best man and Robert Houghton, the bride's brother, gave the bride away. A reception was held immediately after the wedding supper at the Lehi Third ward church. Mrs. Thomas Wilcox was in charge of the gifts and Mrs. Arnold Brems took charge of the refreshments. The program and dancing were enjoyed by the large crowd attending, with music being furnished by the Maxfield Orchestra of Midvale.
