Lj.-iios- s COFFEE RATIONING Tuesday, Intelligence tests were given to the students who had not previously had them. Tests were given by Mr. Hansen. Before the campaign took such a heavy toll of our Atlantic shipping, we could spare ships to carry coffee, bananas, and other South American products, but now we must utilize every ship for the hauling of strategic war materials such as bauxite for aluminum, tin, and many other necessary items. It is better to do wtihout that second cud of coffee today than to do with out our right to drink it tomorrow. Be a good sport. Take rationing in your stride. When the war is won, you can swim in coffee if you wish, but today Johnny Jones needs that armored-platebomber more than second need that cup of coffee. you Children who were 14 years old or under at the time the ration book was issued are not permitted to receive coffee.
