Fast Sunday has SCOUTERS PUN I CEDAR j CITY CARAVAN Lehi district scouters will attend en masse, the May meeting of the recently organized Utah National Parks council, to be held May 2 and 3 in Cedar City. A caravan of cars bearing local scouters will leave here Friday afternoon or early Saturday morning, and attend the Saturday meetings, remaining overnight in Cedar City. They will return home Sunday via Car-mZion national park, the Zion-M- t. tunnel and Bryce canyon national park. From Bryce, various cars will stop for Sunday evening services in the churches of various stakes, those cars stopping at more southern points continuing home Monday morning, thse closest to home continuing home Suday evening following church services. Lehi district chairman, Dr. John G. Jones, was appointed by the council to work out details and plans for the caravan, together with a committee of his own choosing. Dr. Jones said there are 21 members of the local council, most of whom have announced their in el tention of participating. G. John Whipple and Thomas Powers received honors Monday, when they received through the mail a card from the National American Legion. This special card is one not very often received by anyone. It certified that thev had worked ' diligently for the American Legion for fifteen consecu tive years, 1919-193At the present time. Mr. Powers holds the office of adjacent of the American Legion in Lehi. They have been working toward this end for quite a while now and the plans are still being worked on. The trip is to be a Industrial Outing. Everything will be free for the boys except for the noon lunch. The scouters are asked by the Dis trict Council to progress in their scout work and achieve higher merits All boys before time for the trip. who held Tenderfoot badges Feb. 20th must pass the 2nd class by May.
