The Festival is conducted by the Stake Board members and the Primary children of Lehl will take part. Special dances, songs and playlets are being prepared by the wards and a very pretty festival will take place this year. Parents of the children are urged to attend this festival and see the type' of work being done In the Primary i Organizations by the children. Teach ers and officer, of the various ward. have been working with the children for several weeks and the combined ,n! numbers of all the wards will be well; worth seeing and hearing. Published Papers After establishing a mercantile establishment at Lehl, his birthplace, he published the Lehl Banner, Deseret Farmer, American Fork Citizen, Pleasant Grove Review and the Utah Farmer, until the latter paper was sold to the Deseret News. He has been connected with the Salt Lake paper 10 years. Mr. Kirkham was secretary of the Utah State Farm Bureau federation, assisted in the organization of the American Farm Bureau federation; has been secretary of the Utah Development league, comprising 88 commercial clubs of the state and was president for two terms of the Utah, Newspaper association.' During the administration of President Wood row Wilson he was appointed a member of a committee to make a survey of the federal agricultural department. He served under Herbert Hoover, food administrator, during the World war, and was a member of a federal committee to investigate marginal lands under the administration of Prsident Calvin Coolidge. Among church activities In Lehi he was ward president of the Toung Men's Mutual Improvement association; stake Sunday School chorister and a member of the Second ward bishopric from 1905 to 1911. He served in 1898 and 1899 as a stake missionary In Millard stake, and In 1900 as a missionary in California. When he came to Salt Lake in 1922 he became assistant stake genealogical chairman of Liberty stake.
