Amy Robertson Chronicle staff 'Christmassy" is an adjective that describes different qualities to different people, but generally it is used todenoce good cheer. Christmassy things to me are usually gold, red or green, sparkly. and hold some place in Yuletide tradition. With this definition in mind. I set about putting together a Christmas wine gift list of berry hued reds and liquid-golwhites to complement the holiday. Visually, holiday wines have to have enough clarity and strength to be striking in a setting of ribbons, tinsel and candlelight, and must be potent enough in aroma and character to compete with the local Christmas tree. Especially at Christmas, brave it with the crystal.
