Show Th Ludr dred Richards, Fielding Clubs Uttk on. Bear River Redfield, Junior, finished third in state competition in the Discus throw at the Class A track meet held in Salt Lake City Saturday. Kent's longest throw was 159 feet. Steve Geary, a fellow region one member from Ben Lomond finished first with a throw of 166.2. Cannon of Hillcrest finished second. The state record in this event is held by Bear River's own L. J. Silvester with a throw of 170. Mrs. Roy Oyler accompanied ( 4') Foster Mont., came Local Riders Prepare For State Rodeo The Box Elder County Posse is again making preparations to sponsor the Utah State Rodeo for 1963 Championship in Tremonton. The dates for the rodeo are June 24, 25 and 26, according to Duain Madsen, chairman for t h e publicity event. the committee in Heading charge is Ed Silvester, Posse Chief. The young high school age and girls of the valley are invited to participate in the rodeo. To be eligible, each must participate in one of the elimination rodeos to be held in Ogden, June 4 and 5; in Tooele, May 28 and 29; and in .boys to spend her vacation parents, Mr. and Mrs. Emery Marriott.
